Stories of Change

Priya Kumari
“

Because of Your Foundation, I became the first girl in my village to attend college. Today I am a government school teacher, and I teach the same children who once had no school to go to. My life changed because someone believed in me.

When the floods destroyed our village, Your Foundation was the first to arrive. They rebuilt our homes, our school, and gave us hope. My three children are now studying in the school they built.

The women’s empowerment centre taught me tailoring and how to use a smartphone for business. I now run a small garment shop and earn ₹15,000 a month. My husband respects me now.
